FutureMed 2012 was held Feb 6-11 at Singularity University on the NASA-Ames research park in Silicon Valley. In this intimate, intensive 6 day program, 90 participants (approximately half physicians from across clinical arenas, and half ranging from the worlds of medical devices, pharma IT, policy, government to medical and PhD students) lived on the NASA campus and mixed it up with over 65 Faculty.
The curriculum was focused across several core tracks exploring the cutting edge and impact of rapidly developing, convergent technologies on the future of health and medicine. Some press coverage, including from the NYTimes and MedGadget is found here as well as short synthesis videos from selected faculty.
Below are links to each of the FutureMed sessions by day… with highlight notes & takeaways from each of the FutureMed Faculty or site visit. Thanks to Jeff Alfonsi, a medical student who attended FutureMed 2012 who took and compiled these notes.
