About FutureMed Executive Director Daniel Kraft, MD:
Daniel Kraft is a Stanford and Harvard trained physician, scientist, entrepreneur, inventor and innovator with over 20 years of clinical, biomedical research and innovation experience.
Dr. Kraft’s expertise and multi-disciplinary experiences has led him to chair the Medicine Track at Singularity University and serve as the Executive Director and curator for FutureMed, focused on leveraging exponential technologies in health and medicine over the next decade. He has presented for many high profile organizations, including TED, TEDMED, the Economist Forums and NPR. As a physician, he is board certified in both Internal Medicine & Pediatrics and specializes in hematology/oncology & bone marrow transplantation.
Dr. Kraft has done extensive research in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine at the National Institutes of Health, the Massachusetts General Hospital, NASA, and Stanford Medical School. He has multiple scientific publications, medical device, immunology and stem cell related patents through faculty positions at Stanford and UCSF. He has founded two companies focused on his inventions and vision of the future in healthcare. Daniel advises several companies and organizations, including the X-PRIZE, Medical device & healthcare IT startups and incubators.
